Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Finland

The Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) at the University of Turku hosted the 1st Korean Writing Competition on November 14, 2025. 

Third Secretary Haeseong Kim from our Embassy attended the event as a judge and delivered a message of encouragement to the participants.

This competition served as a valuable opportunity for Finnish students who have a deep interest in the Korean language and culture to freely express their daily lives and thoughts in Korean. It also provided meaningful motivation for them to continue their Korean studies with greater confidence.

After the competition, participants enjoyed Korean snacks prepared by the Embassy, sharing a warm and friendly moment together.

Our Embassy extends its appreciation to the CEAS staff for organizing this event and for the invitation, and will continue to support activities for Korean language learners in Finland.
